Long requested by audiences, Lerner and Loewe’s adaptation of George Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion” brings beauty, style and grace to the stage and offers a pleasing vision for the eye. Enjoy familiar songs like “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face,” “The Rain in Spain,” and “Get Me to the Church on Time,” along with production numbers that will have you dancing in the aisles! In June 1961, the show became the longest-running production in Broadway history, outdistancing Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!, which had held that record until that time.
Book and Lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner
Music by Frederick Loewe
Adapted from George Bernard Shaw's play and Gabriel Pascal's motion picture “Pygmalion”
