Start with William Shakespeare’s timeless The Taming of the Shrew, add the captivating music and lyrics of one of America’s most beloved theatrical figures, Cole Porter, with book by Sam and Bella Spewack, and you get the multiple Tony Award-winning musical Kiss Me, Kate (Best Musical – Best Revival of a Musical).

This rollicking play-within-a-play recounts the onstage and backstage antics of two bickering romantic couples during a touring production of The Taming of the Shrew where each character’s onstage life is complicated by what is happening offstage.

Kiss Me, Kate is a musical comedy masterpiece that features 18 melodious and sophisticated tunes including “Brush Up Your Shakespeare”, “Another Op’nin’, Another Show” and “Why Can’t You Behave.”
